A Safety Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe working environment across construction, industrial, and energy projects. The role is particularly important on major projects where strict safety procedures, permit systems, risk assessments, and company standards must be followed at all times. This urgent requirement is for Aramco-approved Safety Officers who can support a long-term project in Jezan. Selected candidates will be expected to monitor site activities, identify potential hazards, promote safe working practices, and ensure that workers follow approved health and safety procedures.

Main Responsibilities

The Safety Officer will conduct regular site inspections, identify unsafe conditions, and recommend corrective actions before accidents occur. The position also involves monitoring workers and subcontractors, checking the proper use of personal protective equipment, supporting toolbox meetings, and ensuring that work is carried out according to approved safety procedures. Candidates may also be responsible for assisting with risk assessments, permit-to-work requirements, incident reporting, emergency procedures, and maintaining safety documentation. Strong communication with supervisors, engineers, workers, and project management will be essential for maintaining effective safety standards.

Skills, Certification and Experience

Applicants should have relevant experience as a Safety Officer, preferably within construction, industrial, or Aramco-related projects. Aramco approval is mandatory for this requirement, and a valid Vendor Code is also required. Candidates should possess strong knowledge of workplace safety practices, hazard identification, risk control, PPE requirements, and site safety procedures. An original NEBOSH certificate is required. Candidates must ensure that all submitted qualifications and certificates are genuine, as fraudulent documents can result in serious consequences and the stated fine of SAR 2,000. Good communication, observation, reporting, and problem-solving abilities will be valuable for this position.
