The selected candidates will be responsible for monitoring work areas, watching for fire hazards, maintaining communication with the work team, and responding according to approved emergency procedures. Main Responsibilities and Work Duties
Standby Men and Fire Watch workers will continuously monitor designated work areas for potential fire hazards, sparks, smoke, or unsafe conditions. They may be required to remain present during hot work and other activities where fire prevention measures are necessary. Responsibilities include checking the surrounding area, keeping appropriate firefighting equipment accessible, immediately reporting hazards, and raising an alarm when required. Workers must follow instructions from supervisors and safety personnel, maintain constant attention during assigned duties, and avoid leaving the designated area without authorization.
Required Skills and Documentation
Candidates should be alert, responsible, physically capable, and able to remain attentive for extended periods. Previous industrial or construction site experience can be beneficial, particularly experience related to fire watch or standby duties.
