Safety Officer SAR 32/Hour

A Safety Officer is responsible for maintaining safe working conditions and ensuring that project activities are carried out according to approved health and safety procedures. This role is particularly important in industrial and construction environments where workers may be exposed to lifting activities, equipment, machinery, work at height, and other operational hazards. The current urgent requirement is for 12 Safety Officers for a project in Yanbu, Saudi Arabia. The assignment has an expected duration of 65 to 75 days and provides FAT by Company, covering food, accommodation, and transportation. Candidates must have valid Ajeer and EPM Approval, both of which are mandatory for this requirement.

Main Responsibilities and Duties

The Safety Officer will monitor daily site activities and ensure that workers and supervisors follow established safety procedures. Duties include conducting routine workplace inspections, identifying hazards, recommending corrective actions, and monitoring the proper use of personal protective equipment. Safety Officers may also conduct toolbox talks, participate in risk assessments, monitor permit-related activities, and support emergency preparedness. They will report unsafe practices and conditions to the responsible supervisors and follow up on corrective measures. Maintaining safety records, assisting with incident reporting, and promoting good housekeeping will also form part of the role. During the project, the Safety Officer must remain alert to changing site conditions and communicate safety requirements clearly to workers and management.
