Safety Officer Interview Today
A Safety Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe working environment and ensuring that employees, supervisors, and contractors follow established health and safety procedures. This urgent requirement is for 15 Safety Officers for a Jafurah project, with Aramco approval and a minimum of seven years of experience specified by the employer. The role is particularly important in large industrial projects where strict safety controls, hazard identification, and compliance with Saudi Aramco standards are essential. Selected candidates will be expected to monitor site activities, identify potential hazards, encourage safe work practices, and support the project team in maintaining a strong safety culture.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
The Safety Officer will monitor daily construction and industrial activities to ensure that work is performed safely and according to approved procedures. Responsibilities include conducting site inspections, identifying unsafe conditions, reporting hazards, recommending corrective actions, and following up on safety observations. The officer will also monitor the proper use of personal protective equipment and ensure that workers understand applicable safety requirements. Supporting toolbox meetings, reviewing safety documentation, assisting with incident reporting, and communicating safety concerns to supervisors may also form part of the daily duties. Strong attention to detail is required because safety officers must recognize risks before they result in accidents or injuries.
Required Skills and Professional Knowledge
Applicants must have at least seven years of relevant experience and should be Aramco approved, as specifically required for this vacancy. Candidates should possess practical knowledge of industrial safety procedures, hazard identification, risk control, PPE requirements, and Saudi Aramco safety standards. Experience on major oil and gas or construction projects can be highly valuable. Applicants must also provide an experience certificate and the required Aramco-related medical fitness and blood group certificates. A valid digital Iqama, valid Muqeem, passport, CV, and GOSI employee documentation are also required. Candidates should ensure that all documents are genuine, valid, and up to date because the employer has clearly stated that fake documents will not be accepted.
