Key Responsibilities
The Rigger-III will prepare and secure loads before lifting operations, select suitable slings and lifting accessories, and inspect rigging equipment for visible defects before use. The worker will coordinate with crane operators, signalmen, supervisors, and other members of the lifting team to ensure loads are moved safely and efficiently. Responsibilities also include maintaining proper positioning of loads, following approved lifting procedures, and ensuring that work areas remain safe during lifting activities. The rigger must follow supervisor instructions and immediately report damaged equipment, unsafe conditions, or any issue that could affect the safety of the lifting operation.
Skills and Professional Knowledge
