Job Description
Lifting Supervisors are responsible for planning, supervising, and coordinating all lifting operations on industrial project sites. They ensure that lifting activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and in accordance with approved lifting plans, company procedures, and industry regulations. The role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and a commitment to maintaining the highest safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Selected candidates will supervise daily lifting operations, review and approve lifting plans, coordinate with crane operators, riggers, and site management, conduct pre-lift meetings, inspect lifting equipment and accessories, ensure compliance with safety regulations, monitor high-risk lifting activities, and maintain proper documentation of lifting operations. They will also stop unsafe work whenever necessary and promote a strong safety culture on site.
Skills and Professional Qualifications
Applicants must hold a valid Lifting Supervisor Certification issued by a recognised third-party authority. A minimum of five years of experience as a Lifting Supervisor in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or Industrial Projects is mandatory. Experience on SABIC or MAADEN projects is preferred. Candidates should have strong knowledge of lifting standards, risk assessment, lifting plans, crane operations, and safety regulations.
