Roles and Responsibilities at Site
Labor or Helpers support general site activities and may assist skilled workers with material handling, housekeeping, tools, and other assigned tasks while maintaining good communication with supervisors and team members. Flag Men help control the movement of vehicles, equipment, and personnel in designated work areas. Fire Watch personnel monitor work areas for fire hazards during hot work and remain prepared to respond according to site emergency procedures. Stand By Men monitor designated work activities and support safe operations when required. Bolt Torquing Technicians perform controlled tightening of bolts using appropriate tools and procedures. Pipe Fabricators prepare and assemble piping components according to drawings and project specifications, making drawing knowledge important. Rigger Level 3 personnel assist with lifting and rigging operations while following approved procedures. Safety Officers monitor workplace conditions, identify hazards, promote safe working practices, and support compliance with project safety requirements.
