Key Responsibilities
Forklift Operators will safely operate assigned forklifts to move, load, unload, lift, stack, and position materials within the project or worksite. Operators may handle different capacities, including 2.5-ton, 7-ton, and 20-ton forklifts, depending on their verified experience and project requirements. They must inspect the forklift before operation, check essential safety components, and report mechanical problems or defects to the responsible supervisor. Operators are expected to follow designated traffic routes, maintain safe operating distances, observe load limits, and use proper lifting and handling techniques. They must communicate effectively with banksmen, riggers, supervisors, and other site personnel during material movement. Maintaining good housekeeping and complying with project safety procedures, PPE requirements, and operational instructions are essential parts of the role.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Candidates must have previous forklift operating experience and should be capable of safely handling the forklift capacity relevant to their experience. A TUV document is also required, together with a valid Iqama having at least three months of remaining validity. Candidates should understand safe material handling, load stability, equipment inspection, and site traffic procedures.
