Rigger 1 Long Term

Shamlal Contracting is seeking a qualified Rigger 1 for an urgent long-term project in Jazan, Saudi Arabia. The position is specifically intended for an Aramco-approved candidate who understands safe lifting and material-handling practices in an industrial environment. Riggers play an essential role in construction and industrial projects by preparing loads, selecting suitable lifting accessories, securing materials, and assisting crane operators during lifting activities. Because lifting operations involve significant safety risks, the successful candidate must be careful, responsible, and familiar with approved rigging procedures. The company emphasizes a safety-first approach and has specifically stated that Ajeer is mandatory for this opportunity. Candidates should confirm their approval and Ajeer status before proceeding with the application.

Lifting Duties & Responsibilities

The Rigger 1 will support lifting operations by preparing and securing loads before they are moved by cranes or other lifting equipment. Daily responsibilities may include checking slings, shackles, hooks, belts, and other rigging accessories for visible defects and ensuring that suitable equipment is selected for each load. The rigger may connect and disconnect loads, guide suspended materials, communicate with crane operators through approved signals, and help maintain safe exclusion zones around lifting activities. The worker should follow lifting plans and instructions from authorized supervisors and stop work if an unsafe condition is identified. Proper housekeeping, correct use of personal protective equipment, and compliance with site safety procedures are also important parts of the role. All lifting activities must be performed carefully to protect workers, equipment, and materials.

Skills, Approval & Eligibility

Candidates should have practical experience working as a Rigger 1 and possess the knowledge required for industrial lifting operations. The vacancy requires Aramco approval, so applicants should have the relevant approval and be prepared to provide supporting documentation when requested. A good understanding of lifting accessories, load handling, basic load stability, signaling, safe working practices, and hazard awareness is important. Candidates should be physically capable of performing rigging duties and able to communicate effectively with crane operators, lifting supervisors, and other site personnel. Ajeer is mandatory for this position, and applicants should confirm that their registration and documentation meet the project’s requirements before mobilization.
