Riggers play an important role in industrial and construction projects by supporting the safe movement, lifting, and positioning of heavy materials and equipment. Sultan Mohammed Al Dhafeeri Cont. Est. (SMDC) is currently seeking experienced Rigger-1 and Rigger-2 workers with TUV certification for a long-term opportunity in Jubail Tahaliya. The recruitment is intended for candidates with strong practical experience in their relevant field. Applicants should be prepared for an interview and must meet the specified Iqama and passport requirements before joining.
Main Duties and Rigging Responsibilities
Riggers are responsible for preparing and securing loads before lifting operations, selecting suitable rigging equipment, attaching slings and other lifting accessories, and guiding loads safely during movement. They must inspect equipment before use, follow lifting plans and site instructions, and communicate effectively with crane operators and other members of the lifting team. Riggers should maintain safe distances, identify potential hazards, and stop or report operations if unsafe conditions are observed. Experienced personnel should also understand proper load handling, signalling procedures, and safe rigging practices appropriate to their level.
Skills, Experience and Candidate Requirements
Applicants must have a minimum of five years of relevant experience and should be capable of performing rigging activities safely and professionally. TUV certification is required for the advertised Rigger-1 and Rigger-2 positions. Candidates must have an Iqama with at least three months of validity and must submit their passport as required by the recruitment notice. An interview will be conducted, so applicants should be prepared to demonstrate their practical knowledge and experience. Candidates should also confirm the applicable test, rate, employment conditions, and mobilization requirements before proceeding.
