Safety Officers play a critical role in protecting workers, equipment, and project operations across construction, industrial, and energy projects. The position offers a long-term project with a rate of SAR 21 per hour and payment based on an approved timesheet.
Main Responsibilities
The Safety Officer will monitor daily site activities and ensure that work is carried out according to applicable safety procedures and project requirements. Responsibilities may include conducting site inspections, identifying unsafe conditions, recommending corrective actions, checking the proper use of PPE, supporting toolbox talks, and communicating safety instructions to workers and supervisors. The officer may also assist with safety documentation, incident reporting, emergency preparedness, and compliance monitoring. Strong observation, communication, reporting, and risk-management abilities are essential for maintaining a safe project environment.
Required Skills and Knowledge
Applicants must meet the client’s mandatory educational and professional requirements. Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a 3-Year Diploma. A minimum of 5 years of Gulf experience is mandatory. Applicants must also provide a copy of their NEBOSH Certificate along with NEBOSH Email Confirmation. Experience certificates from previous employers are required and must carry the relevant company seal or stamp. Candidates should have sound knowledge of workplace hazards, risk assessment, PPE requirements, safety inspections, incident prevention, and industrial safety practices.
