Standby Men play an important role in ensuring workplace safety during high-risk industrial activities by monitoring ongoing operations, maintaining communication with work teams, and responding promptly to emergency situations. This opportunity is suitable for candidates who meet the project requirements and are available for immediate mobilization.
Key Responsibilities
The selected Standby Man will be responsible for monitoring work activities in hazardous areas, ensuring compliance with safety procedures, maintaining continuous communication with supervisors and work crews, and remaining prepared to respond to emergencies. Additional responsibilities include verifying that work permits are in place, ensuring safety equipment is available, assisting during critical operations, and supporting safe execution of project activities in accordance with company and client requirements.
Skills and Knowledge
Applicants should have previous experience working as a Standby Man in industrial or oil and gas projects. A valid TUV certification is required for this position. Candidates should have a strong understanding of industrial safety procedures, emergency response protocols, hazard identification, and permit-to-work systems. Good communication skills, teamwork, and the ability to work under pressure are essential. A valid Vendor Code and complete Saudi employment documents are mandatory.
