Main Responsibilities and Work Duties

Block Masons will construct walls and other structures using concrete blocks, following measurements, drawings, alignment requirements, and project specifications. Plaster Masons will prepare and apply plaster to walls, ceilings, and other surfaces, ensuring smooth and even finishes. All workers are expected to maintain good workmanship, follow instructions from supervisors, use appropriate safety equipment, and keep their work areas organized.
Skills, Qualifications and Practical Knowledge
Candidates should have practical experience in their respective construction trades and be capable of working efficiently in a long-term project environment. Scaffolders should understand basic scaffold erection and dismantling procedures and be familiar with safe working practices at height. Block Masons should have knowledge of block laying, mortar preparation, measurements, leveling, and wall alignment. Plaster Masons should be experienced in surface preparation, mortar or plaster mixing, application, leveling, and finishing techniques.
