Position Overview

Fire Watch and Standby Man personnel play a critical role in maintaining workplace safety on industrial and construction projects. A Standby Man supports confined space operations and other high-risk activities by monitoring workers, maintaining communication, and ensuring emergency procedures are followed. Main Responsibilities

Selected candidates will perform their duties according to project safety procedures and company regulations. Fire Watch personnel will inspect work areas before hot work begins, monitor welding and cutting operations, maintain fire extinguishing equipment, and report unsafe conditions immediately. Standby Men will supervise confined space entries, maintain continuous communication with workers, monitor safety conditions, and assist during emergency situations if required. Both roles require strict adherence to safety protocols, accurate record-keeping, and close coordination with supervisors and safety officers throughout the project.

Required Skills and Professional Qualifications
