Key Responsibilities
Fire Watch / Standby Man personnel will monitor designated work areas for fire hazards, particularly around hot-work activities, and maintain continuous awareness of sparks, flames, smoke, and other potential hazards. Scaffolders will assemble, modify, inspect, and dismantle scaffolding under approved procedures while ensuring platforms, access points, and components are properly secured. Helpers will provide general support to skilled workers, including material handling, loading and unloading, cleaning, preparation work, and other assigned site activities. The Welding Supervisor will coordinate welding operations, supervise welders, monitor work quality, review welding activities against project specifications, and ensure that safety procedures are followed. All workers must use appropriate PPE, maintain good housekeeping, follow supervisor instructions, and report unsafe conditions immediately.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Candidates should have relevant experience for the position they are applying for. Fire Watch candidates should understand hot-work hazards, emergency procedures, and basic fire-prevention practices. Scaffolders should have practical experience with scaffolding systems, safe erection and dismantling procedures, and site access requirements. Helpers should be physically capable of performing general labour and material-handling duties.
