Fire Watch SAR 14/Hour

Middle East Friends Contracting (MEFCO) is urgently seeking six qualified Fire Watch personnel for a project in Jazan, Saudi Arabia. The position offers a rate of SAR 14 per hour and requires candidates who already possess a valid Vendor Code along with the necessary employment and project documentation. A Fire Watch plays an important role in maintaining safety during hot work and other activities where fire hazards may be present. The selected workers will be expected to monitor work areas carefully, identify potential fire risks, maintain readiness to respond to unsafe conditions, and follow established site safety procedures. Candidates must have an Iqama with more than three months of validity remaining and a medical report with at least six months of validity. Key Responsibilities

The Fire Watch will monitor designated work areas during hot work and other potentially hazardous activities, remaining alert for sparks, flames, smoke, combustible materials, and other conditions that could result in a fire. The worker should ensure that appropriate firefighting equipment is available and accessible before and during the assigned activity. Continuous observation of the work area is important, particularly around welding, cutting, grinding, and similar operations. The Fire Watch must immediately alert workers and supervisors if an unsafe condition develops and should follow the project’s emergency response procedures when necessary. Maintaining communication with the work crew and coordinating with relevant safety personnel will also be part of the role. The selected candidate must remain attentive throughout the assigned duty and should never leave the designated area without proper authorization or replacement.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Candidates should have practical knowledge of industrial safety procedures and understand the hazards associated with hot work and fire-producing activities. The ability to remain focused for extended periods, identify potential hazards quickly, and communicate safety concerns clearly is essential. A Vendor Code is mandatory for this vacancy, and candidates must also meet the stated documentation requirements. The Iqama must have more than three months of validity, while the medical report must have at least six months of remaining validity.
