Main Responsibilities
The selected Safety Officers will be responsible for monitoring work areas and identifying potential hazards before they lead to accidents or unsafe situations. The role may also involve conducting safety briefings, explaining workplace hazards, reporting unsafe conditions, and recommending suitable corrective actions. Safety Officers are expected to maintain proper communication with site supervisors and workers and support the implementation of safety requirements throughout the project. They may also assist with safety documentation, inspections, incident reporting, and general workplace safety awareness. Good observation, communication, reporting, and problem-solving abilities will be important for carrying out these responsibilities effectively.
Required Skills and Experience
Applicants must have a minimum of five years of relevant Safety Officer experience and should hold a valid Chamber document. Candidates should have practical knowledge of workplace hazards, safe working methods, personal protective equipment, site inspections, emergency procedures, and general safety requirements. The ability to communicate safety instructions clearly and coordinate with workers and supervisors is essential. Candidates must prepare their CV along with the original certificate and original experience certificate, approval letter, or concern letter. A valid Iqama with at least three months of validity, Muqeem with at least three months of validity, and a valid passport copy are also required. All original documents, including the CV, must be submitted to the office as requested by the employer.
