Main Duties and Safety Responsibilities

Their duties may include supporting toolbox meetings, hazard identification, risk assessment, site inspections, incident prevention, emergency preparedness, and safety reporting. Officers should communicate safety instructions clearly to workers and supervisors and immediately report serious hazards or unsafe practices. They may also assist with maintaining safety records, monitoring corrective actions, and ensuring site activities comply with project safety requirements. Strong field awareness and careful supervision will be important throughout the assignment.
