Job Description

Project Planners and Schedulers play a critical role in the successful execution of industrial shutdown and turnaround projects. They develop project schedules, coordinate work activities, monitor progress, allocate resources, and ensure that all project milestones are achieved within the planned timeframe. Their expertise helps minimise downtime, improve productivity, and support the safe and efficient completion of maintenance activities.

Key Responsibilities

Selected candidates will prepare and maintain detailed project schedules, coordinate with engineering, construction, maintenance, and operations teams, monitor project progress against planned timelines, identify scheduling risks, prepare daily and weekly progress reports, update project schedules using planning software, and recommend corrective actions to prevent delays. They will also participate in shutdown planning meetings, monitor resource allocation, and ensure project activities comply with client and company requirements.

Skills and Knowledge

Applicants should possess a minimum of five years of cumulative experience in shutdown and turnaround planning and scheduling across multiple refinery, petrochemical, or oil & gas projects. Strong knowledge of project planning principles, scheduling techniques, progress monitoring, and industrial maintenance activities is essential. Experience with industry-standard planning software such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project will be an advantage. Candidates must submit a Valid Iqama, Medical Certificate, Chamber, an updated CV, and all relevant experience certificates. Strong analytical, communication, and organisational skills are highly desirable.
