Position Overview

A Senior Procurement Engineer is responsible for managing the procurement of materials, equipment, and services required for engineering and construction projects. The role ensures that all purchasing activities comply with project specifications, company policies, and ARAMCO standards. Working closely with engineering, project management, and suppliers, the Procurement Engineer helps maintain project schedules, control costs, and ensure the timely delivery of quality materials essential for successful project execution.

Main Responsibilities

The selected candidate will manage the complete procurement cycle, including sourcing qualified suppliers, evaluating quotations, negotiating contracts, and issuing purchase orders. They will coordinate with engineering and project teams to identify procurement requirements, monitor supplier performance, track material deliveries, and resolve procurement-related issues. The Senior Procurement Engineer will also ensure compliance with ARAMCO procurement procedures, maintain procurement documentation, prepare procurement reports, and support project cost control while ensuring materials and equipment meet required technical specifications and delivery schedules.

Required Skills and Professional Qualifications

Applicants must be ARAMCO Approved and possess more than five years of experience in ARAMCO and the oil and gas industry. Candidates should have strong knowledge of procurement procedures, supplier management, contract administration, material specifications, and project scheduling. Excellent negotiation, communication, analytical, and organisational skills are essential.
