Position Overview

A Fire Watch is responsible for maintaining safety during hot work activities such as welding, cutting, and grinding by monitoring the work area for potential fire hazards. Fire Watch personnel play a crucial role in preventing workplace accidents by ensuring that fire prevention measures are in place before, during, and after hot work operations. Their responsibilities help protect workers, equipment, and project facilities while ensuring compliance with industrial safety regulations.

Main Responsibilities

Selected candidates will monitor hot work activities, inspect work areas before operations begin, identify potential fire hazards, and ensure fire extinguishing equipment is readily available. They will remain at the worksite throughout hot work operations, observe surrounding areas for signs of fire, respond immediately to emergency situations, and report unsafe conditions to supervisors. Fire Watch personnel are also responsible for maintaining safety records, following company procedures, and ensuring compliance with project and workplace safety standards at all times.

Required Skills and Professional Qualifications

Applicants should have previous experience working as a Fire Watch on industrial or construction projects. A valid 3rd Party ID (Old Card) is mandatory for this position. Candidates must possess a good understanding of fire prevention procedures, workplace safety regulations, and emergency response practices. They should be alert, responsible, and capable of working effectively in a safety-critical environment. All required documents must be available before mobilization, and candidates who are ready for immediate joining will be given preference.
