Job Overview
The Safety Officer will be responsible for implementing the project’s Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) management system, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, conducting workplace inspections, and monitoring high-risk activities. The role requires proactive hazard identification, effective risk management, and maintaining a safe working environment for all personnel on site.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
The selected candidate will implement the project HSE Plan, conduct risk assessments and Job Safety Analysis (JSA), enforce company safety procedures, perform daily site safety inspections, identify unsafe acts and conditions, ensure timely corrective actions, verify Permit to Work (PTW) requirements, monitor high-risk activities, investigate incidents, prepare safety reports, support emergency response planning, and promote a strong safety culture across the project.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Applicants should have previous experience as a Safety Officer with strong knowledge of HSE regulations and industrial safety practices. Candidates must be experienced in hazard identification, risk assessment, incident investigation, Permit to Work (PTW) systems, emergency response planning, report writing, and safety documentation. Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills are essential. Indian candidates are preferred for this position.
