Job Overview
Cable Terminators and Loop Checking Technicians play a critical role in electrical and instrumentation commissioning projects. Cable Terminators are responsible for terminating power and control cables while ensuring reliable electrical connections. Loop Checking Technicians verify instrumentation loops, test field devices, and ensure control systems operate correctly before project commissioning. These positions are essential for maintaining the safety, reliability, and efficiency of industrial facilities.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Cable Terminators will prepare and terminate power and control cables, install cable glands, perform insulation and continuity tests, read electrical drawings, and ensure all terminations comply with project specifications. Loop Checking Technicians will inspect instrumentation loops, perform functional testing of transmitters, switches, and control valves, verify signal communication between field instruments and control systems, troubleshoot faults, and prepare commissioning reports. Both positions must follow industrial safety procedures, maintain quality standards, and work closely with engineers during project execution.
Required Skills and Qualifications
