HSE Officer
An Aramco HSE Officer is responsible for maintaining high standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance at industrial and energy-sector projects. This position plays an important role in preventing workplace accidents, identifying potential hazards, and ensuring that workers follow approved safety procedures. The current urgent requirement is for an Aramco HSE Officer for a project in Jizan, with preference given to candidates who have the required JIGPC/Jizan approval and valid vendor code. As the work is connected with an Aramco-related environment, strong knowledge of site safety requirements, permit procedures, risk assessment, and emergency practices is essential. The selected professional will contribute to creating a safe working environment while supporting project management and site teams in meeting applicable safety standards.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
The HSE Officer will monitor daily site activities and ensure that employees, supervisors, and contractors follow approved health and safety procedures. Key responsibilities include conducting regular workplace inspections, identifying unsafe conditions, reporting hazards, and recommending suitable corrective actions. The officer may also monitor the proper use of personal protective equipment, toolbox meetings, work permits, housekeeping, lifting operations, and other high-risk activities. Maintaining safety records and communicating safety observations to the responsible management team are also important parts of the role. The HSE Officer should be capable of responding professionally to unsafe practices, supporting incident investigations, and helping ensure that corrective measures are implemented without unnecessary delay.
Required Skills and Professional Knowledge
Candidates should have relevant HSE experience in industrial, construction, oil and gas, or petrochemical environments, particularly where Aramco or JIGPC standards are followed. Familiarity with workplace inspections, risk assessments, toolbox talks, incident reporting, emergency procedures, and permit-to-work systems will be highly valuable. The specific requirement states JIGPC Jizan approved, making the appropriate approval an important consideration for applicants. A valid Vendor Code is also required according to the vacancy information. Candidates should have good communication skills, practical site-safety knowledge, and the ability to coordinate effectively with supervisors, workers, and project management. Professional behavior, alertness, and the ability to identify safety risks before they result in incidents are essential qualities for this position.
